    Default Fun on the Eradicator

Had to make a little trip north to Iowa for work. The town I was heading to has a nice little trout stream right outside of town with natural born rainbows in it. I’ve fished it before but could never get them to bite, they were there, I could see them, just could get them to bite.

    That changed yesterday evening....

Had the Eradicator out with the 2020 Luvias 2000 spooled with .15 Varivas Area Master PE with a 4lb nylon leader.

Caught 10 of these little guys in the 45 minutes I had to spare. Lots of fun on the Eradicator, though they are small, they be mighty fighters.

Baits on far right side of box in picture.

I’ll get a better picture later.

Weighs in at about 1.5grams. 13 wraps of .025 lead wire I believe behind the tungsten bead.

Nice. They will stock Normandy next month and if the heavy rains can hold off I’ll be putting the Eradicator and the new Diplomat Extreme to good use.

    Regards

Those look like lures not bait.

Imagine the fun you could have in a pay to fish place with a rig like that? I got into one near Franklin , NC once and it was nuts. The owner liked me fishing there, even if I kept nothing, cuz it helped others driving by to stop and see. I guess it was like” he’s fishing and his rods bent, let’s check it out” kinda thing. I killed 3 hours there on a Sunday while waiting to load. The small rainbows are excellent fun.
