It's a $190 lesson. Top section replacement ordered.

Jig got snagged on something on the bottom. Tried to get it back, which obviously was a huge mistake. Grabbed the line and gave it pull. Guess I didn't realize how much the rod was loaded up. Rookie mistake.

Yes, expensive lesson. The good news is you will have it back in action soon!

I could never have peace of mind knowing that one false move, and the house of cards could come tumbling down.

I knew what I was getting into when heading down this road. It was an accident, but not the end of the world. I will be way more careful moving forward.

That's the problem, it seems like one has to baby these rods so much, that it takes the fun out of fishing.

After 45 years of fishing, I still haven't broken a rod. (Knock on wood.) I have some Loomis UL rods that are between 30 and 40 years old, and they're in great shape.

I don't baby my rods, but I don't let them bounce around in the bed of my truck, either.

I wish I could say the same.I break them left and right, and get mad at myself even when I break the cheep ones.

Back in business. Top section of the Eradicator arrived today.

It took about a week from the time I ordered until it shipped, then another 4 or 5 days to arrive.
