Thanks Alphahawk I have really enjoyed my Speedstyle and am looking to add another JDM rod to the bass arsenal. Between my oldest son and fishing buddy they have pretty much gotten me to switch back to bass fishing for this year anyway. Hope you are healing nicely.

Here's a closer look at a few JDM rods we've picked up. Nothing fancy just a closer look at the rods and an idea of the rods action using a 3oz weight. Hope this helps some others in the market.

I finally got some fishing time on my 7'5" Lunakia rod. Thanks for the recommendation Yodie! I paired it with a twin power 1000. I got to say it's my favorite JDM rod. It's just so versatile. I love that it is a little more stiff than my 6"10. I bought it for slip bobbers, double jigs. But I love throwing small spinners.roster tails and small cranks and jerk baits on it also. I got it from Chris? from New York. He shipped it out the same day. He has always been a pleasure to deal with. I have gotten some great rods because of this site. And the people who respond to the questions asked from those people like me. Tict sram, Lunakia 6"10" 7'5", Eradicator. I don't regret buying any of them. When I go crappie fishing everyone of them are tied up on the deck of my boat. Thanks Guys

So I finally got the total coat back for the rod tip and wanted to post on here so you would have an idea. The total cost shipping and all with digitaka is 9600 yen and the total cost from Plat is 10,184 yen. Needless to say both companies took a while to get back to me and I think digitaka was a bit quicker getting back to me after I went ahead and purchased the 7.3 Triple Cross from them. I will probably try to throw the tip in with a larger order whenever I get ready and let the new TC take over float duty.

I've been trying to buy Olympic UL rods for a few moths to no avail. Ebay seems to be the only place to sell them at marked up prices that I cannot justify when I look at Olympic's MSRPs. Would anyone be willing to point me to another source that can sell them to US customers? Thanks in advance.

You can go the buyee.jp route. It takes a little more time to get the rod as they buy it from the store you choose that is in their system, then that store sends it to buyee.jp, and then buyee.jp sends to you. I got a rod through them and while it took about 3 weeks total time I had no complaints. I actually got the Diplomat Extreme at a very good price. The cons with buyee.jp is you will not know exact shipping cost until you purchase the rod. You can get an estimate before you buy though but actual cost could be slightly less or slightly more. For instance one could buy an Super Bellezza at or about 48,900 yen delivered...on Olympic website their MSRP for that rod is 53,000

Thanks, Alphahawk, I'll check it out. Three weeks does sounds like a lot of time, but the example with Super Bellezza looks very enticing.
I should probably wait until after the New Year's, things seem slow on Japanese web stores. Not a lot of holiday sales this season, too...
