Are you still using ultra light leaders on your toothy critters?
I do, 4 lbs FC is my typical choice now. They slice through 2 lbs FC way too easily. I still lose jigs every now and then. For medium and medium-light setups, I started using PE-wire hybrid leader material that Japanese use for cutlassfish. It looks, feels, and behaves a lot like braid. Only for metal jigs though, no problem with plugs and soft plastics.
So I caved and just ordered my first JDM rod and reel. When they come in I'd like to pair them up with some JDM line. I currently fish 4# fluorocarbon (Berkeley Vanish) and really like it. The rod is an XUL only rated up to 3# and the reel has a shallow spool so I'd like to try out some 2 or 3# fluorocarbon on this set up, with a preference to 3#. Any recommendations for either JDM line or USDM (I think I just made that up) in the 3# class?
Gamma Panfish in 2 lb is another. So far it has been a nice performing line. I want to get a few more trips to really get a feel for it, but comments here have been good.

Thank you. Please ignore my comment that I made on one of your Youtube videos this morning. You answered the question here. I just ordered the Sunline you mentioned as well as the GekkaBijin Type-F You since I think the orange line will look really pretty on the orange reel lol. Now the waiting game begins to get everything here from Japan.

Ready to give the Sunline FC and Twitch Master a try. I switched over to the maxima ultragreen for several months after trying a few other lines with mixed results.
Thanks for all the feedback on these lines. Y’all know who ya are!

I'm getting to be a fan of Twitch Master. I've been using it a couple months on my panfish rigs, going after bluegill, shellcracker, and other bream. It definitely helps sensitivity on long casts or deep water. Where I fish has lots of lay-downs and flooded timber, and very big bream, so I sometimes have to horse a toad away from the brush - as much as one can horse anything with a super UL. I've been using the 5 lb test for a couple months, so far, so good, and just got 4 spools of 4 lb. Today I was easily casting a 1g jig head 40 feet with the 5 lb, will be a little better with the 4 lb. I won't go lower. I do get wind knots if I try to sling a light jig in windy conditions, and I've had to stop and cut out a hopeless tangle a couple times, but this is mostly my fault and not the line. So I go thru a spool a month, between wind knots and snags. Your mileage may vary.
