I keep finesse-fishing.com open on my computer at all times! And Digitaka is my other go-to spot. But I did get excited to see JDM reels in a store that I can actually walk into. Such a luxury to get to handle a reel in person.

But Randy, do not underestimate the impact of your Youtube channel. I've learned more from TroutMagnetMan than any other resource. Actually seeing JDM equipment in use makes a much bigger impact than seeing it on a store website. I wonder how many people have been converted to the faith of JDM ultralight tackle after watching your videos. We may be low in numbers, but the American market for high quality JDM ultralight tackle is surely growing through your efforts.

Which rods do you use or plan to use with your Ballistic FW?
I have several JDM sticks and another Ballistic FW LT 1000S-P on a Majorcraft Triple Cross 7.3Aji solid tip rod, mainly used for float fishing live crickets and some cast/retrieve of light jigs. This new reel is going on the other Triple Cross 7.3 Aji tubular tip rod that has become my favorite dock shooting rod. Both reels will have 3lb Yellow JDM braid. A matching set they will be except for the tip action and purpose. I am glad TW picked this reel up from the Daiwa, hopefully it will introduce more fishermen to the JDM line of tackle. Welcome to the boards.

That’s normal. The more I use this reel the more impressed I am.

Best guess is several years. How many years depends on how well they sell and when Tenryu decides a major upgrade is warranted.
