You will like the reel, on the Corto it is a sweet ride. Put some good line on it and enjoy.

Congrats! I’ve ordered a lot of gear out of Japan. It has all been packaged bullet proof......even jig heads....LOL.

I have 4 2019 Daiwa FW Ballistic LT 1000S-P reels on the way.....2 are for nephew. Along with these I also have 4 tuning kits and Zaion knobs to turn these into the Daiwa SLP works Day Sprout DSLT1000S-P reels....minus the all black paint job. Which will bring it up to 12 bearings with a weight of 155 grams. I did not go into this willy nilly. After reading Craigthor's post over at TackleTour I investigated what reel was the Day Sprout based on. Then with input from him as to how the reel was......along with watching untold hours of autotranslated youtube videos about the FW Ballistic......Day Sprout, and corresponding with some Japanese youtubers about the reel I hit the buy button. These are low ratio reels....4.8 to 1....taking in only 23.6 inches per handle turn....right down my alley. While the reels will not have the all black paint job as is on the Day Sprout...and I have to admit that does look good.....I was able to acquire the reels at a price that is around 100 dollars less than the Day Sprout. These reels were designed with the area trout fishing in mind and I am sure will make excellent reels for all panfish...not to mention Smallies also. Then I wake this morning to see Daiwa has debuted a 2020 Luvias that I am sure will be superb. Using JDM gear truly is a curse....LOL. Will give a review of reels when they get here......which should be tomorrow.

    Regards

The 2020 Luvias debuted today. Quite an upgrade to the 2015’s. Doesn’t look like there will be a 1000 series. The 2000 S though only weighs in at 150 gram....or 5.2 ounces. Pretty darn light.
