I'm glad you got in on some of those that is an amazing price for that reel, they were showing stock in the reel section at full price now it shows "We will check the availability to the maker" maybe they will find some more...

I emailed and the reply was keep looking they may do the50% off again. What is the difference in the two,all I could see is a little heavier, bigger frame?thanks
I thought I compared line test, capacity and all,the only difference was weight,so school me please what is difference in spools?thanks in advance
Both Daiwa and Shimano do this. They put a 2000 series spool on a 1000 size body to better use FC or ester line. I use ester on the 1000 series without any trouble but I can see where a slightly larger diameter spool helps with FC and or ester. Look at the retrieve rate on the 2 reels....the 1025 is 60cm and the 2025 is 64cm. The 2025 has a larger diameter spool accounting for 4cm more line retrieve per rotation. I have a Shimano Twin Power that is a 2000C...it is same with it. Many people prefer this. Shimano used to do this with US domestic reels in their 750 models. It had the body of a 500 series and the spool of the 1000 series.
Regards
I generally prefer the larger spool... I think it’s mostly a preference thing...

Just received my Diawa Limited Presso....Wow! A nice reel, smooth as the Luvias right out of the box, will put some line on it later. Raining here but may go out anyway and fish a bit. I weighed it on my home scales and it hit 156 grams. If this is their flagship Area Trout reel then how much better can the Exist really be? Splitting hairs I guess when you are in the upper price range.

Got mine in yesterday. I spooled it up with Varivas Master Limited Super Ester 2.3 pound. Had a meeting last night near a trout stream (Little Red River), so I left early to give it a shot. Unfortunately they were generating heavy (poor fishing by the dam), but I did make a lot of casts. Randy was right! It is light turning air. Unbelievable! Would not have believed it unless I tried it out for myself.

I have fished this reel a lot the past 2 weeks. Due to audio issues have not been able to post a couple of decent videos of me using this reel. I don't really know what to say about it. None of us will catch one more single fish because of the reel...but....fishing with his thing takes the fun and pleasure up another notch. Stan you ask the question about what the Exist can be like if the Presso LTD is this good? Well my experience is when you take those steps up in JDM gear it really does get better. Knowing me I will eventually get an Exist just so I can speak about it. I used this reel on the super ultra light to land an 17 inch largemouth this past Tuesday. During the battle with the fish everything about the reel was just like silk....the drag....the line coming off the roller.....no flex in the frame......it was just perfect. The line lay on the reel has been great during my usage. I'm going to be laid up for a while after the 26th with a new hip....so I will not be fishing and spending gas money. Knowing me I will be buying something out of Japan. Here is link to the video of the largemouth....the reel is just purring as the fish pulls out drag.
