Got to use the new 752 Lunakia today for about 5 hours.

No big fish caught with it today, not a lack of trying, but was more focused on the deeper gills with the 610 Lunakia.

I spent most of the day throwing a Slider Bass 3” kick tail grub on a 3.5 gram minnow head or a 2.5 gram marabou jig n eel. No takers on either of those, but like I said I wasn’t really in the place for those, was more just for the experience of fishing these lures on this rod.

I did however rig up a drop shot with a #2 hook and a 2” gulp minnow thinking I may have a chance at a smallie or big drum in a place known to hold them... ended up with two nice gills on that rig!

I was totally surprised by this rod, I definitely had total control and power over those bluegills, but the rod softly loaded up into a nice curve and I still had a fun fight on my hands. Now, I was in the canal fishing bridge piers between the lakes and by 1100hrs they were pulling some major currents that was flowing through the tiny canal.

I can’t wait to fish this rod more, I think for my uses, especially when I travel and am fishing the big river, this may quickly move into most useful tool territory for me.

It will be a blast pulling these big KY lake crappie out of the brush piles later on this fall/winter.

This will be glued to my hands next trip I fish below the dam.

Tenryu has one again crafted an excellent tool for my arsenal... strong backbone, soft tip, excellent reel seat, super sensitive.

The only downside... this won’t fit in my BandW sports twin rod case, it will only accommodate up to 7 foot 4 inches. That will be remedied soon, I’m moving from a rod combo case to a clear creek semi custom rod tribe and a separate reel case.

Had a great evening fishing the the Abu Garcia Eradicator Slow Taper Special. It just reaffirmed what my thoughts were on this rod....it is simply fantastic! The Gills did not cooperate but I got into about 3 dozen crappie stacked on nothing more than a small branch in about 8 feet of water. Using a 1 gram Daiwa Gekkabijin jig head with a #8 hook...a Sow Bug and a Bison colored Trout Magnet..the MGX Revo Theta reel spooled up with about 70 yards of 2.3# test ester the rod just flat showed out. Casting is flat out superb with this rod. You could feel the "Thump" in your elbow it was so distinct. Then the blank behavior gave you all the fun you could want. About 2 dozen of the crappie were 10-10.5 inches. This rod is no doubt my favorite rod out of all the JDM rods I have purchased over the past 8 years. The Theta reel is performing great also...line lay and management with the ester is superb....rotation is very light....and the drag is smooth as silk. The Eradicator will certainly not be my last JDM Abu Garcia rod I will purchase and I am sure there may be some more MGX reels in my future. They have hit a homerun in my opinion with their new TAF Toray Nano blanks.

Nice catch on the bucket my friend...and a great rod it is. I didn't get to use mine last trip out, and still looking for the Theta or the Extreme to complement the combination.

I, too, will likely get one of the Revo reels whenever they come back in stock.

I went out of town last weekend and fished a pond close to my relatives' place. I finally was able to get into some bigger bream and the Eradicator performed amazingly well. Those big bream will put a nice jolt and bend on that Super Ultra Light. I believe every last one of them was caught on the Sow Bug color trout magnet. Also landed a couple of crappie and a small largemouth bass. I had a blast and look forward to going back there sometime soon.

Fabulous rods. They are made for bass. The ones you are looking at have a soft tip but a strong back. I personally would not use them for crappie.

I was thinking the same thing. I do not own any Mega Bass rods for bass fishing...but have owned several UL JDM bass rods. They are all as you say.....soft tip but a very strong backbone. I no longer own any of those bass UL rods. I do own a Mega Bass Ajing rod that I really have as a collector type item...rarely fish it. It is a thing of beauty.

Got out the other day to experiment w micro drop shottin’. Something I’ve been wanting to play with. Great presentation that I believe has several benefits over the jig. Was using my Tict RF, 1/16 drop shot weight, 2.4 Ester, 3lb Fluor shock, and an assortment of small plastics. Countless crappies and a handful of bass; capped off with my largest to date on JDM UL gear - prob around 4 1/2 lbs.

Nice catch on the drop shot. I plan to give it a try next month on the deep Gills.
