Between work and kids haven’t had a chance to get out in quite awhile. We recently just built a house over in Owens Cross Roads and the Flint is just right down the road so decided to give it a try. My wife got me a new Garmin 106 and livescope for Christmas so was anxious to try it out. My main focus was to learn the unit but also to focus on structure that could only been seen using electronics in deeper water. While skinny water fishing is what I enjoy the most my plan is to use this to target structure in deeper water to add to my skillset. It was a great day on the water. Ended up catching about 30 shorts and a half limit of keepers all released for another day. Water temperature was 48 degrees and clear. I was vertical jigging a 1/16 oz Headwater Outdoors jig in various colors in 12-20ft of water. Overall accomplished what I set out to do and will look to continue to improve this deeper water approach.
Fun times for sure!

Too blessed to be stressed!
Nice. Sounds enjoyable
Way to go, I love the lower Flint (last 5 or 6 miles before the Tennesse River) during the winter!
Where do you put in on the Flint?

Takes a little while to figure out the lives cope and just exactly where the cone is that you're looking at. Once you get it though, look out!
For the lower Flint I put in off Clouds Cove RD here: 34.5152956797417, -86.48380588902697
It's called the Turkey Spring Ramp
