Default Wheeler High or Muddy? 9/17/24

I'm getting the urge to fish. Thinking about skipping work tomorrow. But, I don't want to fish in a chocolate milkshake. Have any of you guys seen it in the past couple days? I don't know how bad it was after all the rain. If it's still muddy, I'll save my leave for a better day.

I rode around the peninsula between limestone and beaver dam yesterday. It was stained but nothing like I was expecting. And it was a little low.

Awesome, thanks! That's actually probably where I will fish. I bought a boat a couple years ago, and I do enjoy it. But, I still like to chase backwater crappie in my kayak.

Well I’ll give my report. Went to limestone Saturday. Wind was terrible. I caught 4 or 5 smaller crappie. Caught one nearly 14 inches on a lay down. Seemed to be a little early. But I got in some stripe spider rigging. That was a lot of fun. No big ones but they we’re hammering it. Several times three rods down. Not what I was after but a lot of fun.

I did go. I think I fished from sunrise until after 12 and caught 6 barely over 9 inches.
