[QUOTE=Damion Kidd;4349350]Went and fished my favorite bank spot today. Caught 10 keepers and at least that many shorts. Also caught 4 or 5 good white bass. Always do better from the bank than the kayak. Most caught on Bobby Garland Mayfly about 2 feet under a float. Fun couple of hours.

Way to get them. I have been catching them on BG baby shad in purple mist (and the hair jig the last couple of trips)I think it resembles a tiny blue gill. The temps are going to be close to 80 next Thursday so hopefully the weather will stay warm and the crappie will move up shallow to spawn.

I actually took my kayak but decided with the wind and cold I was just gonna fish there and see how it went. Especially after what happened on my last trip. Gonna be paranoid for a while. Lol I usually end up doing better there than in the yak. It was pretty stained so I was trying darker color stuff and only catching stripe until I put the mayfly on. It had became my go to color at 8 mile.

Almost good as new. Lot easier threading line through a hook eye.

I've never seen that BG mayfly bait. Use the mayfly colored shad all the time. Where did you find those mayfly baits? Those will be great in a few weeks when the mayflys hatch.
