Default They got a little darker

Went out for the 6th time in the past two weeks on Logan Martin. First trip I got 26 and it’s slowly went down from there. Only caught 8 today, but I didn’t go out until after 9 because of the rain. When I brought the first one in you could definitely tell they have gotten a bit darker. Not spawning dark but darker than before. Think maybe it’s because they are staying shallow longer. Caught them in 12 feet of water long line trolling. Water temp was 62 and caught them all on white jig heads and black and chartreuse bodies.

Would normally expect to have a limit by 10 or so this time of year so don’t know if I’m out of practice or the water warming up so fast has them a bit confused. But I will be after them every day the weather allows for the next two weeks now that I’m a retired lake living man. Life is good.

    Fun times for sure !
Things bloomed quick this year ! And by the looks of things fish ought to be doing their thing but they are still a good ways away up this way .
once we gets some 70-80° days and some 50°+ nights it’s going to be on for sure !
    Too blessed to be stressed!
