Default Kayak report for limestone creek

Fished limestone creek yesterday from 6 till 2 and the white bass were on fire. Had a buddy come down to try out his new to him kayak and we caught 30-40 stripe and a short crappie close to the put in and upstream. He left around 10 and I went and started hitting the pits. Ended up with 14 keepers and lost 2 big ones that came loose before I got them to the net. I Also had 5 big blue gill and 10 or so shorts. All were white crappie with the big ones in there black tuxedo's. I think they were going on bed as the water is warm and the dogwoods are blooming. I caught several on the hair jig that I tied up last week. I also tied up some squirrel hair jigs. The rest were on bobby garland with 1/32oz heads. All were released in BIL pond. Saw the first eagle of the year also. The water was a foot or so above full pool and clear. Very enjoyable day on the water.

Very nice. Love the colors on the fish. Pretty green jig head as well.

Just my luck. I had cataract surgery yesterday and doc won’t let me fish until next Wednesday. But glad you are getting them. Maybe there will still be a few around when I get to go.
