Default kayak report for limestone creek

I fished limestone creek Thursday from daylight till late evening. Ended up with 14 keepers and a lot of shorts. The big white bass were everywhere up and down the creek. I caught 5 or 6 crappie in the creek and the rest in the first and last pit. Nothing from the middle pit. All came on bobby garland with 32 oz head in 15-20 inches of water. I caught 3 fish with lampreys on them. They all fell of when i got them in the kayak so they must have just got on them. Needless to say they did not make it back in the water. I saw a big alligator in the first pit up on the bank. I fished around him for a hour or so and he never moved. I came back later in the day and he was still there but had moved slightly, so he was alive. Pitcher does not do him justice as he is at least 11 ft or bigger. Great day on the water.

Nice catches. Those lampreys are some nasty looking critters. That is a good sized lizard. Certainly looks to be covered in mud

I need to fish out that way sometime. Mainly because I want to see that gator out there. There's one at Cotaco but he's about 5ft long at best. Great report, thanks for sharing!

[QUOTE=fishing man;4342476] I saw a big alligator in the first pit up on the bank. I fished around him for a hour or so and he never moved. That bad boy is every bit of 11ft. I bet you start to hear him doing the mating calls in the next month or so. That’s a creepy dinosaur sound if you’ve never heard one in person. Especially for one that size. He’s the keeper of the honey holes right there. Beast! I don’t mind fishing around them just like to keep my eye on them! Haha Thanks for the post!
