There's a large pipe where 8-mile creek goes under County Road 1422.

I haven't seen the pipe (it's under water) but the current was obvious while jigging.

I thought I had been told there was a pipe running under but wasn’t sure.

Wife left going out of town for a few days so I rode down and looked around. Geek those sure are some good looking stumps you can see on 222. If nothing else I’d love to get in there and mark them for when the water comes up.

Yeah......aware of the rule for coveting thy neighbors wife.....not as sure about stumps. The water goes down some more there are others up creek that will begin to show. What you see now is normally in about 12'ish foot of water. The other(s) is sitting in 17'ish normal pool.

You check out the ramp across from Cappy's. Thinking about it, that may be a key drop box rather than a pay box. Everything I'm telling you is at 45mph. So take it all with a grain of salt.

No I didn’t go that far down. I rode to the park and back.

Attack 8 mile is a feeder creek to Catoma and there is pipes that run under the road and I'm fairly sure the fish do use them--every time I fished Catoma I would go and start there and fish my way back to the launchI caught a 7 pound bass while fishing one pipe years ago before I started concentrating on crappie all the time

From what I remember there is not a launch to put in any closer than the park but maybe some place you can park and throw your kayak in from the bank there was a launch across from the small store at Trimble but not sure if it is still open

Sent a Facebook message to cappys. They said it was fine to launch there year round. Still want to get on up the creek if possible but that’s much better than the park.
