Kayak Trip Report, Cotaco Creek
I fished Cotaco this morning from 7AM till around 11AM. The fish were scattered but biting good. I kept a dozen and returned another 20 or 25 larger fish plus numerous shorts. Fish came single pole using a 1/32oz jig head with a 1" slider. The fish would hit the jig on the slow fall between two and 6 feet deep. Always fun when you don't have to worry about if a fish bit, this morning they were knocking the crap out of it.

Both, this trip I paddled to the river and worked lowdowns back to the ramp since the wind was out of the south. I usually do better upstream from the ramp though.

I met Ditch by chance at Cotaco Creek years ago. Before I get the trailer backed in I saw him catch one off the side of the concrete for the ramp then he caught one off my trailer tire...biggrin...

Nice report! Been a while since I've posted but sure been following though. Just picked up a Bass Tracker Panfish 16 about 3 or 4 weeks ago....it's just like my grandpa's and what I learned to fish out of. Had some motor troubles and just got done putting it back together (powerhead, carb, etc). Gotta say Ditch, haven't met ya but I get this thing to what I think is close to right and I need to plan a meetup to have ya just touch it and give it the "Fish Catching" spirit/vibe/energy/...well whatever you call it, lol. J/k...I enjoy following along and nice crappie man!
