Default Kayak report for Limestone creek (Friday and Monday)

Me and a buddy fished Limestone creek Friday and yesterday. Had 2 good days
    Friday
Caught 2 yellow perch and a sauger as well as 39 keeper crappie with several shorts. All came in creek and nothing in the pits. All on bobby garland with 32 oz jig head.
    Monday
We went back yesterday and ended up with 28 keepers and a bunch of shorts. Also another sauger. Had 2 crappie close to 15 inches. Pits are full of shad bun no crappie. Hope they get in there before the water gets too low

Love to see those yellow perch show up. Obviously the sauger need to grow up a little, but good to see them showing up again!! All fish look healthy so that's another great indicator of how the fishery is doing. Looking forward to the fall, winter, and spring fishing. Thanks for a great report and good pics.

    Nice catch.

Can someone refresh my memory of what the sauger size limits are? Are they a slot size or anything over a certain length?

All sauger must now be 15 inches, no slot. 5 fish limit of combined sauger and walleye.
