    Default Fall Draw Down

They started dropping Lake Wheeler on 1 September, just need some cooler weather for the crappie to start heading to the creeks!

I saw 71 surface temp at Cotaco today at 8am. And 77 at 2pm. And several stacks of bait marching up channel. And a few good thumps from some specks today. Yes Sir it is coming.

drove out to look thursday evening and its only down a few inches at limestone although its reported as a foot below pool at wheeler dam. it takes a few days sometimes to see a significant drop in limestone or so it seems.......last year it was last week of sept before it really got nice at about 553-554 ft .

Lakes down, but the flow down the river is keeping it up. There're averaging 35,000 cfs high now, it'll be 6 to 8 inches lower in Limestone once the river gets to 25,000 cfs or lower.
