I fished Moulton from daylight till around 6PM. No Crappie, but Gills were agreeable. I kept half a limit and returned more than I could count. Lots of Shellcracker mixed in that I returned. Ended up keeping two Shells because they swallowed the bait. Most Gills were 8" to 9", Shells ran a little bigger with most 9" to 10". Fun day on the water. The lake is down about four feet, 82 degrees at daylight warming to 85 degrees by the time I left. Visibility of about 6 feet. Fish came off a 1/32oz jig head using a 1" slider body.

Pics in the morning when I clean them.

Thanks for the info. I fished there last Sunday and only caught a few gills. No crappie. Maybe next time. Hope to see you there soon.

Are you by chance going this weekend? I'd like to meet up and catch a few with you.

Nope, looks like rain for most of tomorrow. The Gills slow down a lot when the water cools over several days in the Summer. Fishing for Gill would be tough.
