I'm working on a set up. Anyone use planer boards? I got a small pair off ebay to try. Seems like would work to avoid the tangles. Why no one use them?

My main line is braid, which tends to slip in planer grips. I tried using planers from my kayak, but the aggravation was too great.Originally Posted by Bigsig1101
Your kayak won't disturb fish anywhere near like a bigger boat, so fish won't move far out of the way, your lures won't need to be spread as far as in a conventional boat. Use longer rods to increase spread and help prevent tangles. Try taking wider sweeping turns to keep from crossing lines.
