Default Advice moving to surrounding area of Montgomery

Moving to surrounding area of Montgomery. Never been but work is moving me. Where should I be looking to crappie fish? I have a boat and been trolling/long lining in TN and SC. Thanks in advance

The Alabama River runs right by there and has some great crappie fishing. Also Miller's Ferry is also close and is good.

I've never fished the area, but when I drive through the area on I-65 all those back sloughs off the Alabama river sure look good!!

Both Martin and Jordan are finicky but good at times. Summer fishing will be better on river.

So river is more consistent. Do longline jigs work well?

There are several areas there. Best part is bass pro is just up I-65 in Prattville.. Jordan is a good lake to fish but good luck on Martin. Its a rich man's lake and full of pleasure boats.
