Super nice pics and report. Glad you shared this with us.
I fished the main swan creek area by the equipment shed yesterday. The bass were busting the frog around the Lilly pads just after first light. I did see a big cotton mouth first thing . I saw 2 big ones last week as well. Very easy to tell them as there whole body is above the water and there head is up high as well. I caught about 15 bass on frogs and 2 on the 1 inch slider spinner. One of these was close to 5 lbs on 4 lb test line. i fished all the way back to the tracks and only caught 1 blue gill. Can not find them over there. The buffalo are feeding with giant tail fins coming out of the water. They will rock the kayak when they take off under you. Very good day on the water.

Man you are killing the bass over there. I’m not much at fishing for them but makes me tempted to try a frog over there. Hate them snakes almost as much as I do gators. Lol

Great job on the Bass, thanks for the report.
You need to try the frog fishing. The good part about this part of swan creek is it is all open water and you can unload your kayak directly into the water. This area is open except for lily pads and buck bushes. Stick marsh ( off sandy road ) requires a lot of hard work just to get to the best spots. Still trying to figure out the blue gill and crappie.I have seen several big cotton mouth but they go about the business of hunting food.

Sounds like a great day out DB.
