Default Kayak Trip Report, Moulton New City Lake

I fished Moulton Saturday for Gills and did ok, keeping 32. I stopped at half a limit but added a few more fish that I
deep hooked since I wasn't sure if they'd survive. Also caught a dozen Crappie, adding three to my cooler. The other Crappie were short or larger than I like. The Gills were scattered and near beds, but not on them (probably the cool weather and being between full moons). Larger fish come from 10 to 15 feet of water and were caught half and half either on a 1" slider using a 1/32oz jig head slow retrieved just off the bottom or on Redworm fished on the bottom. Most Gills I took home were nine inches or just over. I also returned about the same number of large Shellcrackers including several that were just short of 12 inches.
