Default Kayak Trip Report, Limestone Bay/Creek

I fished Limestone today, not much to report but stripe and catfish, LOL. I kept 4 and returned 7 that were larger than I wanted. Also, a dozen or so shorts. The water was 58 degrees and clear with visibility of about 12 to 18 inches. Limestone is about one foot down from full pool.

I did get to see one of the female Gators sunning today. I post a picture once I get them off my phone.

Thanks for the report. From all the reports I’ve read and heard I feel a little better about not getting to go this weekend. Lol

I'd planned to go to 8 mile, but the south wind scared me off!

The Gators are back out. Crappy cell phone picture, but you get the idea!

I'd say about 8 feet, but could be a couple feet longer. The end of the tail was curled out of sight and I didn't want to get too close and spook the beast. I got within a 100 feet but had a bad angle to see the length. I like have few around since they keep there distance whenever I've seen them in Limestone.

I spotted a doe that looked like it drowned in the flood water stuck in flood debris on the bank...my first thought was that it would end up as gator food
