Default Kayak Trip Report, Bradford Sinks

I fished Bradford today but not much to report. The open water didn't show any fish or bait in the open water. I start working the edges with a jig and bobber picking up four or five before the wind picked up around 7AM. Once the wind got going I couldn't fish effectively and gave up around lunch. The water was 58 degrees at daylight and had warmed to 60 by lunch time. Looks like everything has moved up into the emerging Lillypads.

That wind has been brisk lately. Made me leave the water yesterday

Bradford has 10 or 15 acres of open water but 40 or 50 acres of pads. Usually, I catch most of my fish on the edges, but during spawn when they head back under, I don't know where to look! I've fished all day and still haven't found their spawn areas.

Long ago the state had an 80 acre lake at speigner al. There were 2 or 3 acres of pads on the west side.We would load up dropping marabou roadrunners through the cracks between the pads
Could easily get 25 fattys after work
