So sorry for your loss. Sounds like a great guy. Prayers sent for family and friends.
Guys today we bury my father. He has been fighting cancer for over 9 years and passed Saturday at the age of 84. He taught me so much. How to work on a car, or turn a wrench on about anything. How to build a house from the foundation up. He taught me to not be afraid to tackle anything. He taught me that anything worth doing was worth doing right and with pride, to always do your best. He grew up in a time when you fished for food. I don't know that he really liked to fish, I do know that he loved being outside and loved his family more than anything. He kept a boat most of the time that me and my brother lived at home so he could carry us fishing. I remember the first boat he bought, he would sit up front and paddle it all around Smith Lake while my brother and I fished. He would make a few cast but mostly he took us fishing. This was back in the days when a 85 hp was a hot rod and very few people had trolling motors an most fishing boats were aluminum v bottoms. He loved his family and would do anything for them. He knew I loved to fish and made sure I was able. Thanks for letting me share just a little bit about the man that had the most influence on my life. He will be greatly missed.
