Default Shoal Creek Report from 2/1

Hey y’all!!! I knew this, but I didn’t learn it firsthand until this week—spot-lock is just a dang gamechanger. Fished on Shoal Creek for the warmest day we’ve had in a month, and boy was it a good afternoon! Trolling just wasn’t producing, so we found a wad huggin bottom in around 15 FOW and decided to spot-lock about 8 feet away from them. Pulled in 16 keepers in 2 hours to include 6-7 slabs. Threw back another 10 shorties, some bluegill, and quite a few stripers. Water held at 45 degrees the whole time. Wind was around 10 MPH, but the new Ultrex held Tina the SeaArk like a champ!

Ain't nothing better than sitting on a spot and not have to fool with the troller. Nice catch.

I've heard rumors of crappie on Wilson. Glad you found some.

I cannot believe that you would stoop to the crutch of spot lock, what kind of fisherman are you if you can’t control your boat using a regular foot control trolling motor, everyone knows that you can’t catch fish when using spot lock. I absolutely love my Terrova and it absolutely can be a game changer and make the limited time I have the opportunity to fish much more enjoyable. Glad to see that you had a good day. 😉

Nice box of fish. I’ve fished Wilson alot, I was always after bass at the dam though. Need to go give it a try one day been a few years since I’ve been down there.

    Nice box of fish !
love the spot lock feature !
but mine on my ulterra has a very bad spirit! It does what it wants to do and goes crazy more than not . I have tried re calibrating several times and it still goes bonkers !
    Too blessed to be stressed!
