Default Kayak Trip Report, Indian Creek

I fished Indian Creek today on Wheeler, returned endless short Crappie, Gills and stripe. Even caught a few Skipjack. Ended the day with half a limit. Fish were down about 8 to 10 feet in 10 to 12 feet of water. Best bait was a 1/16oz jig head with a 1" slider in White and Chartreuse jigged single pole on submerged brush. The water was a little muddy with visibility of about 12 inches and 53 degrees.

Is there still a fish advisory for Indian Creek? Lots of chemicals come down that creek. All the fertilizer from all those yards up in Madison drain out thru there.

Historically there was an advisory for Catfish and Carp, but there's been no restrictions for several years. There hasn't been one for Crappie or "all fish" in the 10 years I've live in Madison County. I of course the know the history of Redstone Arsenal, hopefully those nasties are sealed under a big layer of mud.
