I use to fish this several years ago for bass and caught a few crappie while bass fishing. I have not fished it in several years. I know someone that has a boat slip and they catch some big crappie around the boat slips. Has anyone fished the creek and pits on Huntsville browns ferry road east of Mooresville road ? Looks like there may be some good places to try.Name: Capture.jpg

I remembered those pits a while back. We used to coon hunt back there when I was a kid. I did some studying in google earth and have been wanting to go check it out but haven’t.

I've never fished the area off Browns Ferry Rd except for putting into Limestone Creek. Not sure on ownership and/or access, but several holes on Limestone Creek always hold catchable numbers of keeper Crappie. This is usually a big Redbreast float for me during the summer with low water, but I end up with several keeper Crappie on most trips.

I've fished it on several occasions. Mainly during BG spawn.

Me and my son fish it regularly in the spring, catch fish about everytime we go. It is shallow, maybe 5-6 ft at the deepest point during full pool, most of it is a mud flat during the winter. Catch some on the other side around the boat slips too. If you end up going down there let me know and we will try and meet up with you.....only live a couple miles from it.
