I put in by the old bridge off Pryor rd. and fished limestone today from 10-2:45. I caught 1 nice crappie early but couldn’t find the rest. I also caught a few small bass and bluegill, mostly on a white maribou.
The 2nd and 3rd pits were completely cut off from the bay / creek, and I didn’t get much activity in either pit. It was around 11-2 though so maybe it was mainly the time of day (either way I still have a ton to learn)!

On a separate note, when cleaning the crappie I noticed a few small parasite worms. I was able to cut them out but wondered if anyone else experiences this? I’m sure it’s pretty normal, but wanted to ask and see.
That is an advantage of cold water fishing
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Sorry I couldn't meet you today, my back wouldn't have survived another trip to Limestone with the dragging.

You did better than me. After my get together I went to 8 mile. Bunch of gills and dink bass. No crappie. Maybe we can all get together and go soon.
