Default Kayak report for limestone creek

I fished yesterday at limestone creek . Ended up with 13 keepers and several shorts. Caught 20 or so bass up to 2 lbs on the little spinner. I had 2 that were 15 inch plus and 3 more that were 13-14 inch. Caught most in the last 2 pits on single pole with white marabou jig. I saw Damion just before i quit fishing. I told him i saw the big gator in the first pit. He was up on the bank near the cross over spot . I was at the mouth and when he saw me he hit the water. Very enjoyable day on the water.

Was good to meet you. I fished from around 1 till 530. Only 4 keepers and 10 or so short fish. Caught several dink bass also. I reckon I’m gonna have to break down and get me some of those,as my buddy catchNgrease calls them, those dang maribou. Lol. I’ve used them but had little confidence in them. But y’all prove they work. Hope to get back down there Friday or Saturday. I only caught one casting. All the rest single pole around brush.

yeah the creek was full of 2-3 inch baitfish when I was out there sunday....couldnt get my new rig into the pits but fish were biting in the creek early ...gonna have to dredge 3 inches out of the entrance to the middle pits...

for you guys fishing the creek, if you see bass chasing bait, you can bet the crappie will be same place right after the bass go back down...
