Kayak Trip Report, Ditto Landing

I fished the Ditto back slough north of the boat harbor for a couple hours after work. Not much to report, couple short Crappie and a few gills and bass. Large schools of baitfish everywhere, but the Crappie weren't interested.

Was the water still low?

When I was there on Sunday it was pretty shallow at the bend where the floating dock is located.

I fished the back slough across the road from the boat harbor, nit Aldridge Creek. The water was about three feet low.

Thanks for the report DB. If the shad are there, the crappie will follow.

I'm sure they are there, I only had a couple hours and couldn't stay the last hour before sundown. Always good to get in a short trip, even when not successful on the catching side!
