Default Kayak Trip Report, Limestone Bay/Creek

I fished Limestone Sunday. It was a slower day but still picking up one here and there. I kept half a limit and returned four or five larger Crappie and a dozen or so shorts. The gills were on fire including several large shellcrackers on a little spinner. The water was clearing nicely and 62 degrees. I'm hoping the big numbers will move in soon. Beautiful day on the water. No Gators seen in the water or banks. No pics this time, tired and just wanted to hurry up, clean fish and grab a shower.

Just one question I promise. Lol. What kind of little spinner do you use?Ive picked up a couple different cheap ones at the tackle shop but they won’t spin. Like I said, cheap.

I like the Betts Spin, Jig Spinners. Size "0"for 1/32oz jig head and size "1" for 1/16oz jig heads. Five come in a package. They're not cheap, but I seldom lose one fishing from a kayak since I can go and unhang them.

The ones I bought were just jig heads with a little spinner on them. I’m gonna try those.

Betts make spinners just like beetle spins, but they also sell the spinner attachments separately. They seem to be better quality and give better spin and flash than the others I've tried.

I ordered from Sportsman Warehouse last time. I ordered several packages of the size "0" and size "1" along with other items.
