    I'm using a 10' light action pole, 6 pound test high visibility line and a Pflueger Trion Spincast Reel in the smallest size "MC". I keep the drag very light and sometimes only have 12" or 18" of line off the tip when jigging in 18" to 24" of water.

    Casting is a 7' Light Action Rod, 4 or 6 pound test line and a Zebco Omega Pro in "Zo2Pro".

    Thanks for the info! That's what I was envisioning, but wasn't positive. I used to take a 10' pole with me in the kayak, but stopped because I wasn't using it much and it's a bit of a pain and in the way sometimes. But, I can see how it would be a plus back in those shallow holes.
