Default Kayak Trip Report, Barron Fork

I fished Barron Fork today after work for a couple hours. Fish were everywhere (bass, gills, catfish & Crappie). I kept 5 Crappie and released another dozen. Most short, but a couple were nice slabs were also returned. White Marabou on single pole on isolated cover and jig and bobber anywhere there was a shade spot. The water is down about two and half feet and very clear for Barron Fork with visibility of about 12 inches.

I'll probably give Limestone a try tomorrow, but I'm not hopefully behind the front. Wind is also going to be a pain!

Good report. How far back did you go? Or do you just put in by the bridge?

I put in at the bridge and fish upstream in a couple areas that hold fish. I them moved into the open bay fishing stumps that I have marked. I made it about 2/3 the way back east before I ran out of daylight. Nothing was deeper than about three foot. Most only about 24 inches.
