Default Kayak Trip Report, Madison County Lake

I fished Madison County Lake from daylight until about lunch time. Nothing to report, didn't catch a single Crappie. I found fish in my normal areas, but couldn't get a single one to bite with anything I threw. Water was 72 degrees at daylight and had warmed to 74 by lunch time with visibility or about 12 inches.

Still a beautiful day on the water and blessed to have time to get out!

Thought about meeting you there this morning but we had my mom a birthday get together at 1 and knew I’d be to rushed. So glad I didn’t. Lol

Lot of small gills and a half dozen catfish. Always frustrating to see fish on cover, but can't get them to bite.

I was there in my little pontoon as well. I ended up with one big shellcracker and a couple small gills. Gills were released and the shellcracker went to a couple catfishing. Still a better day fishing, than going to work.

Surprised at that report. Guess the fish are still trying to recover from the cold front.
