    Default Duck River Back Open

Just letting yall know they opened the ramps back up at Duck River. They didn't post it on their Facebook page or anywhere else I'm aware of, I just heard it by word of mouth from people who have been. Rode down there this morning and it's true and noticed the water is still pretty low but not terrible.

I heard all the fish went over to Big G. No fish left so all you commercial fisherman (Ditch,Damion,FlintCreek) yakkers can skip this place.

I have been to Duck 2 times in the last week or so, but chasing ditch pickles. First trip out was a lot of fun with my son who figured the out and put me on the fish, we caught 20 or so in 2 hours. Second trip was by myself and not so good, I only caught 3 before the heat ran me in. I may go looking for crappie in the morning. I really wish I had SI hooked up on my little boat or kayak.

So I guess you were catching bass? Were they dinks or decent fish? I only catch dink bass there and occasionally a 1-3 lber.

Most of the bass I was catching were in the 1.5 to 2 lb range. I did catch one that was 2.5 lbs that day. I was catching them in 10 to 15 feet of water.
