    Default Done till fall

Unless it is a good cool front. Had planned ongoing with flintcreek this morning. But the wife wanted me to help her do some things before she went to work. So I wasn’t planning to go. But we finished and she left. I went out and it felt pretty comfortable so I thought I’d go a while. Got on the water around 10 and it wasn’t to bad. Caught one keeper crappie and a good Gill. That was it. And realized I’d paddled a little too far. It got HOT QUICK!!!

No sir. I’m just obsessed. This is the first year I’ve ever caught any crappie at all past the second week of may. I’ve been catching just enough to keep me excited. But it’s just too much now.

About 30 minutes is all I can stand. After that I get in the shade a bit and then go back to fishing.

That "paddled too far " is easy to do
    Specially when the wind shifts

It was 72 last night with enough humidity to keep me soaked with sweat

True. The duck grass had settled on all my deep holes making them unfishable. If I’d been catching it would have been more tolerable.
