    Default Swan creek.

Went to a spot where I found some gills a couple months ago looking for crappie. Not so much luck today. Found some good gills just here and there. Did find a spot where I caught around 20 little bitty shell cracker. I’ve never caught any this small. Couldn’t find any bigger ones. I eased up to a patch of pads and just eased a slider down in there. Kaboom. Bass. He felt much bigger than he was. Not a lot of good fish but still a fun day.

It’s nothing really. But I drove an hour and a half to get there and go down west dyke and the first gate is shut. I was a little aggravated. It looked like the lock wasn’t locked so I go look. Sure enough it was just lined up but not locked. I figured some kids had done it or something so I opened it and went on and fished. On my way out there’s a guy sitting there in a flat bed. He comes up and said this gate was shut you weren’t supposed to be back there and points to a sign on a tree. I said well I didn’t know it wasn’t locked. He said I’m trying to be nice but the game warden is on his way and he may not be so nice. But since I’m being nice you better leave before he gets here. He said he was building a new levy back there. So I just said thank you sir and left kinda quickly. Lol
