Default Last trip for a while

to 8 mile creek. This stuff has gotten almost impossible to paddle through. But I managed yesterday to fish for a few hours. Wind was terrible, but that’s one thing I love about there, you can get in a bend in the holler and it will completely block the wind. But in those areas I got no bites. Tried some places in the wind and caught several good crappie and lots of gills. Maybe that grass will die off in time for some good fall fishing. I returned everything because I didn’t have time to clean them. Name: IMG_0202.jpg

That certainly looks like a rough stretch to paddle

Probably 70-80 yards to open water. Exhausted when I get there. Lol. But some good fishing.

Discouraging to a lot of people. I used to fish an area that you had to cross a shallow sandy area about 4 inches deep on low tide on high tide I could paddle through with the kayak. Tide dropped out and you were dragging the yak out. Great fishing back there.

Not everyone will push through that mess, that is what makes for the good fishing on the other side.

Makes my back hurt thinking about it. But the rewards were good!
