I sure like how them Shellcracker pull!!
Finally make the trip over to Wilson lake and met up with a good friend to try and crack the nut on the shell crackers!
and what a tuff nut it was for me on trying to figure it out ! Lots of very deep water and in the places with shallower water lots of trees and stumps so it made scanning tuff for getting much done in a day and a half . Started out on the lower end and made it up about a 1/3 of the way . Covered lots of water looking for beds but really never put it together. Only finding about 8-10 good beds with a few fish on them but they just wouldn’t cooperate today for us . Quality was their for sure but the quantity just didn’t happen. But getting to spend the day with a good friend and his son was well worth the drive .thanks buddy we will do it again.
Too blessed to be stressed!
I’ve been on Wilson a ton but it’s always been catching the bass. Looks like a good trip for first time there.

I’m glad you able to come over and spend a little time with us and now you see why I don’t fish on Wilson much even though it’s 10 minutes from the house . We had a great time and you will definitely have to come back and try it again but in the meantime I will start going up there more and try to figure something out.

Glad you finally made it. Great report. I'm actually at alloys park right now. Fished the evening bite and going to fish the morning bite tomorrow.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Always good to get caught up with a buddy. Love those shellcrackers.

Stay at it you will get it ! Once you find a few places you can pretty much duplicate that all over the lake . Look for Shallow flats with sandy/hard bottom . Protected areas like behind a island, around docks ,under overhang trees etc !
