Thx for all of the nice replies. Meant to say....no sonar or depth finder was used to find the fish. Just sitting on the boat and casting a line out....finding the bottom and then reeling up slowly.

Caught most in abt 3-4 feet of water. Hanging out around some cover (logs and brush).

I would however like to learn how to use my depth finder and sonar. Hahah

hey DB - you are right. It does take a while to get to know this area.

I have really enjoyed it though. I have started to remember where certain logs, stumps and brush piles are from seeing the rise and fall of the water.

I have also started to remember my bug spray! Haha

I have taken my wife out...caught fish in a certain place where I had seen a sunken log and then gone back with my son and told him - “watch this” - and cast right where I knew that log was laying and BAM.

    Fun stuff...

Yep, a half limit is a sure thing once you learn all the stumps and logs. Where you see the angle iron sticking out of the water use to hold brush I put in. I need to cut some and reload those areas.
