Default Kayak Trip Report, Swan Creek WMA

I fished Swan Creek today, started at the spring, but two guys were already putting kayaks in. I drove over to the main launch, but it also had a truck parked with someone fishing. I drove back up off Sandy Road on the east side of the train tracks, had that one to myself. Caught an released bass, crappie and gills for hours. Ended up keeping half a limit of gills and 5 Crappie. A few in the open water came off a 1/32oz spinner, but most came from a bobber with Powerbait Honey Worm on a #4 hook about 15 inches down.

Photo's later when I clean them, I got voluntold by the kids to go with them for Mother's Day!

The moss is bad, but that's what make this place so good. You just have to learn how to fish it!

Great looking mess of fish, guess it paid off getting bounced around out there until you were able to get in on them.
