Wink Wheeler Bream bite 7 May

Decided to try one of my bream holes on Wheeler, and they were in there yesterday evening. Caught at least 100+ and kept half a limit for dinner. The water was 69-70 were we were at. Took a buddy along for the fun. Caught them on crickets mostly, but they liked the worms just as well, and even managed a few on DBs 1" slider rig! It was fun just getting out and getting the line stretched. Man those little buggers can pull. The 6lb carp on 4 lbs line and ultra light gear was a hoot! Fish were consistent in 8 FOW. I think that cold front pushed them a little deeper. Normally catch them in 3 FOW in this spot.

I caught probably 70 or 80 yesterday. They were deeper than they were last week as well.
