Default Guntersville is a LOST CAUSE!

What was once a prime lake for some quality, trophy drum fishing is deteriorating badly. If you're like me, there's nothing more gratifying than hooking up a toad drum first thing in the morning and battling it out with him on 4lb line, and the satisfaction you get from untangling all 6 lines for about 20 minutes when the battle is over. Well.........no more. Unfortunately, the lake is getting overrun with these trash crappie fish that keep getting snagged on my dagum lures every time I put them out. This kind of nonsense needs to stop. I'll be calling TVA to see what we can do about saving one of the world's greatest drum fisheries and getting rid of these dang crappies. The Half *** Fishing Team doesn't have the patience for being overrun with panfish. For the record, I stalked drum in 8-12 ft of water with pretty much every color of head and tube, all of which got bit. Unfortunately, I only got one drum because i was overrun with friggin crappie, most of which were 13"+. I got a LOT of PM's asking me where I got my calibrated shoe measuring device I had used last week, so that's what I'm using from now on. For reference, my shoe-rule is 13-1/2" long, as verified by the US Bureau of Weights and Measures, so you judge for yourself how big some of these trash crap-fish are. Look at that trophy drum, though.........whew, boating him was like a dream come true. He was the only one, though, 'cause I had to waste time with the 13 crappie I caught. After 5 or 6 of them, I was so disgusted I quit taking pics, but I'm using these as evidence to send TVA that these dang things are becoming a Big problem. Just as soon as I find some paper and a pen I'm gonna write them a Half *** letter and give 'em some what-for about screwing up Lady G.

Nice catch, I think you mistake the drum for huge gold fish somebody released in the water. Get em while the getting is good! Blessings
