    Yea I was thinking I might need 3 since they were 16ft. Was going to start with 2, see how the rods look, then build another one of necessary.

    Definitely would suggest going with 3 supports for 16’ rods. You’re going to be putting some major stress on your rods with only two, either will have a ton of movement on the tip end of the rod or have a ton of stress on the midsection. Keep us posted on what you come up with!

    I've actually seen rods crack and break without enough support.

    Prater, post up pictures when you get your rack built. I am looking to update my current DIY rack. Currently I am set up for 8 rods but I am working on updating to run 12 rods. So a new DIY transport rack is in my future too.

    We are getting hammered at work right now with the cold weather. Probably be week after next before I’ll get a chance to even begin to mess with it. That’s if it’s not fishing weather lol.
