    Default Weiss mid march

I have never fished Weiss Lake but planning to come down 12, 13 March. Im not asking for your favorite fishing hole just a little guidance. I know the weather is going to influence the type of fishing between now and then but would yall think shooting docks, trolling or single pole would be best? Which end of lake would yall recommend......We arent wanting to keep a bunch of fish just want to find some to stretch the line. Thanks

Ill be trolling in Mid march but if you want to shoot docks I would suggest the lower end of the lake. You will have deeper water under those docks

Thanks coach, just trying to gather some info before we go We dont have good trolling lakes around here so thought we would try Weiss. We will probably try docks if the trolling doesnt work out....

Look for the convoy of boats riding around in a circle. That's where you'll want to fish. If you don't have insurance on your motor, get it before you put in on Weiss.

I'll never understand why trollers on lakes like Weiss don't take a clue from the northern walleye fishermen and use a kicker motor. Seems like it would be a whole lot cheaper to buy a 3-5hp kicker and troll with that than risk your big motor on stumps.

With all the programs available with the electronics these days, the trolling motor is the way to go, no kicker needed.

Hey Dave ! Just about any of the coves should have fish in them somewhere! If it’s cold they will be towards the deeper part and if warm they will be headed towards the back if not in the back ! If u end up having to fish with the crowds just drop your jigs down to the bottom . They don’t like pressure and will go to the bottom in a hurry!
