    Default Kayak report for Wednesday ( limestone creek )


    Me and a buddy fished Wednesday at limestone creek. We put in at the iron bridge not knowing they had already opened the gates. Saw a nice buck where the road enters the cheek. We caught a few crappie early but they slowed down and were few and far between. Late in the day they pick up a little.Lots of shorts. Met Ditch basser at the mouth. Nice talking to him. We ran into him shortly before we left and he had found the crappie. We ended up with 15 keepers with 4 about 12-13 inches. We also caught 4 black nose crappie. We only caught 12 or so bass. Very enjoyable day for sure.

    Great meeting you, wonderful day to be on the water. 70 degrees in early February and the fish were agreeable!

    We put in at 6:30. Thought they would not have opened them up yet. As soon as we got to the creek we saw headlights coming down the road. Glad there open now.

    great to finally meet you. Very enjoyable day for sure. We had only caught 3 crappie each trip before. Hope it’s a good spring. Thanks to you and everyone that shared information about this place. Love fishing over there.
