Just moved down here and need a little help getting started. I can’t get my boat down here for a few months so I need some help to get started on bank fishing here. Is there any relatively decent spots I can bank fish for crappie? I asked someone down at a bait shop and they told me the only place to fish for them here is the delta.

I have caught some around the docks at a lot of the landings at times. Hard to catch size. Not sure where you moved from but the water stays a bit warmer down in the delta area. You can do some bank fishing around Upper and Lower Bryant’s Landing area and around Boat Yard. If you got kayak or canoe you can go to Rice Creek. Just keep in mind the delta changes constantly as does the location of your crappie. Tide and amount of tide has great effect on them all the way up to Claiborne. Get ready for a challenge not like lake or what I call dead water fishing for them.
