By chance were you at Guntersville, way up in a creek yesterday? Camo boat?

You will have to drag your boat if you put in off Pryor Rd. while the lake is at winter pool. Best to put in at Arrowhead Landing. However, its too
far of a run if you just have a trolling motor. Also, watch out carefully for the numerous stumps learking just below the surface.

I can make it across there with my 12 ft flatbottom when its at its lowest but its because Ive been doing it 30 years and know where the deepest (15-16 inch) water is and it aint a straight shot across from arrowhead when its that low. it takes me 40 minutes from ramp to fishing with a 45 lb thrust minkota...I think im gonna splurge for a 55 next week.

riveboss, your the man when it comes to flatbottoms in skinny water! I'm not sure I could pick a path from Arrowhead during winter drawdown in my kayak, LOL!

I used to go across there with a 16.5 tracker john with a 30 horse johnson on it...motor trimmed to shallow drive mode and prop digging mud but idleing on back there anyway. It all depends on how little water your boat drafts...balast in the front is essential if your alone.

Thanks for all of the info on Arrowhead. I would like to try it out sometime. Hate to hear that you had to troll for 45 min before you started fishing. I just installed a depth finder so maybe that would help me navigate. Thanks

Hey Fur - I was at Cotaco Creek on Sunday and Guntersville yesterday. Mine is just a green boat. Must not have been me.
